Despite the unexpected downpour, the W.A.Y. Center’s Grand Opening was a powerful display of perseverance, community, and heart. Our outdoor event may have faced cold and rainy weather, but it didn’t stop our incredible vendors, food trucks, performers, and guests from showing up and shining brightly!

We were honored to welcome vendors like Mark Noh with New York Life, Jonathan Moreno with Be a Mentor, Carmella May with Primerica, Maria Williford with Beauty-full Circle, Janet Li with 300 Financial Group, Doris Abban with One Unik Boutik, Transform Church AV, and Domonique Jackson, supporting in a big way. Faith Crocker amazed the kids with beautiful face painting that brightened even the cloudiest skies.

Our food trucks; Barrios, Haywood’s Hotdoggs, and D’s Smokin BBQ, kept everyone fueled and warm, sticking it out with us through every drop of rain. DJ Chanax kept the energy alive with great music mixes that kept smiles on faces and feet moving!

Special performances included the Dragons Spirit Squad from iLEAD Lancaster, featuring talented young girls from 1st to 5th grade, and the inspiring B. Alyse, who graced our stage with two heartfelt songs.

Although the weather forced us to make many last-minute schedule adjustments, we adapted and pushed through, finishing the event strong and full of gratitude. We are incredibly thankful for everyone who showed up to support our vision for the community. Rain or shine, the W.A.Y. Center is officially open and ready to serve!

Special Thanks to Our Generous Supporters

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing organizations and businesses that donated raffle prizes and special deals to help make our grand opening even more special: Grace Resource Center, Coffee Bloom, New York Life, and Be a Mentor.

Although the weather forced us to adjust our schedule and we weren’t able to hold our planned raffle activities during the event, we are excited to announce that these wonderful donations will be used at our next big event.

Their generosity means the world to us, and we can’t wait to bless our community with these gifts very soon!
